The 3D laser treatment is performed in two stages known as “passes” with the Alma™ laser system. The first pass treats discoloration from sun damage, such as brown spots, age spots, and freckles. It also targets blood vessels and facial veins and can treat rosacea through the use of intense pulsed light (IPL). The second pass renews the skin by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, resulting in the improvement of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars with the use of a non-ablative fractional while stimulating college and elastin.

Most people feel only minimal discomfort during the procedure and typically can resume regular daily activities the same day as treatment. You should expect some redness and swelling similar to a sunburn for a day or two after your laser treatment. This should resolve in just a couple days but you can wear makeup to conceal any redness.  You may see results in facial veins immediately after the treatment along with a darkening of the brown spots. These spots will flake off over the next 1-3 weeks leaving you with a glowing appearance  It is important to avoid sun exposure and tanning creams between treatments.  Be very consistent with the use of broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50 on the treatment area at all times.  You will see continued improvement in the skin’s appearance during and after a course of 3-5 treatments  4 weeks apart with visible results after each individual treatment.
