What to expect during Microneedling Treatment
Microneedling procedure involves the use of a small device about the size of a pen. The tip of the device contains a series of microneedles. These tiny needles are designed to create small micro-channels in the dermis layer of skin ultimately stimulating new collagen production and new tissue. Collagen is a natural occurring substance in the body that is responsible for skin hydration and elasticity. This is successful at replenishing the appearance and overall health of your skin. A topical anesthetic will be applied in the treatment area to minimize discomfort.
What to expect after Microneedling Treatment
Patients may experience some redness in the treated areas for up to two days after the procedure. Depending on the extent of skin damage or the depth of scarring and or wrinkles, it may take six to eight treatments, two weeks apart for the best results. Most patients begin seeing the effects after two treatments.
